The Vanguard Initiative turns summer reading into an immersive mystery experience your child can hold, solve, and look forward to each week.
Enrollment closes June 26. First mission dispatches June 30.
The Vanguard Initiative is a 6-week mystery adventure delivered by mail. Each week, your child receives a classified mission packet filled with story letters, clues, puzzles, maps, field notes, and collectible mission cards that pull them deeper into the case.
The adventure is designed primarily for kids ages 8–13. Younger kids may enjoy it with some parent help, while older kids who love mysteries, codes, maps, animals, and imaginative stories may still have a lot of fun with it.
Each packet varies in materials but may include a story letter, map, evidence photo, puzzle or activity, field notes, rank card, threat assessment card, and other classified case materials. Every piece is designed to make your child feel like part of the investigation.
Most mission packets are designed to take about 30-60 minutes, depending on your child's reading level and how much time they spend studying clues, solving puzzles, and exploring the story.
It is both. The Vanguard Initiative is built to encourage reading, critical thinking, problem solving, observation, imagination, and creativity, while still feeling like a fun summer mystery adventure instead of schoolwork.
