How to get it ready

1. Add their name. Open the PDF and click the line under "This notice certifies that" to type your child's name. Or print it blank and write the name by hand.

2. Print it. Print in landscape on regular letter paper, or on cream cardstock for an extra-special feel. Choose "Fit to page" if your printer asks.

3. Wrap it up. Roll it like a scroll and tie it with string or ribbon, or fold it into an envelope and write their name on the front.

A surprise for Christmas morning

The certificate includes a secret passcode. When your child enters it at the Archive Terminal, it opens their first recovered Vanguard file, so the adventure starts the moment they unwrap it. (Shh. Let them find it.)

What happens next

Letter #1 ships in early January 2027, addressed to your child. A new sealed letter follows about every two weeks through June, 12 in all.
